Tonight I had my first piano recital as a teacher. I have taught lessons for about 14 years, but with students changing, having babies, and life in general, I have never gotten a recital together. And, it was also Natalie's first recital to play in. (I actually am pretty sure that it was a first recital for all of my students. The recital went really well and everyone did a great job. I had two students not there; one had strep throat and the other only started lessons a week and a half ago. Afterward we had brownies and ice cream.
Natalie did such a great job. She was so excited when it was her turn. She played her song just about as well as she ever has. I was very proud of her.
I gave each of my students a chocolate orange for a job well done.

My girls were very excited about the orange.
Looks like it went well. Natalie is concentrating so hard in the picture and then looks so happy after. Wish we could have been there. Lots of love, Mom
Wow, that's awesome! I didn't know you've been teaching for so long. You're awesome. You know, this might sound weird...but almost every time I sit down to my piano to play, the thought comes in my head, "I wish I could play like Cherie." That's cool you're teaching Natalie.
