Halloween

Our ward had a Trunk-or-Treat on Halloween this year.  The kids chose super traditional costumes--a witch and two ghosts.  This actually worked out great because I found an inexpensive witch costume and I had a newly ruined white sheet that got converted into two ghosts.  Pretty easy.  They had lots of fun and got more than enough candy to make them happy.  (But really, I thought their candy intake was reasonable and not tons.)  Arie slept through most of the trunk-or-treat in the car.  I didn't plan to put a costume on her anyway, so it worked out great.
