10 years and counting!

Nate and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on January 2nd!  It was on the same day as Melanie and Tyler's wedding in San Diego, so we were in California for our anniversary.  So here's what we got to do on our anniversary:

We got to go to the temple.  I wish we could have done sealings, but it didn't work out time wise.

We got to go to the beach.

We also got to go to dinner without our kids.  We put them to bed at the hotel and left grandma and grandpa in charge.  Then we went to Outback.  There was also a Krispy Kreme next door, so we got donuts afterward too.

We are hopefully planning an actual trip to celebrate our 10 years of marriage.  In the past 8 1/2 years since we've had kids, we've never spent a night away from them together.  We've been saving up and would like to go to Puerto Rico (where Nate served his mission), but we will see if it works out.

I am so thankful to have this sweet, loving husband who makes my life so much better every day.  Ten great years down, and many more to come!

Happy Anniversary! Loved looking through all the pictures, though it makes me even more sad that we weren't there. Sometimes I really hate that we live so far away!

Oh, and glad you decided to keep the camera. We've had a DSLR for almost 5 years now. I spent the first 3 1/2 of those in Auto, and only started playing with manual a year and a half ago (though I spent almost a year reading articles about photography, etc. before that working up the nerve to take the jump.) There are other ways to do it, you can use the P,A, or S modes to have partial control, but I knew I had to make myself take the leap or I might always use the crutches, so that's just what worked for me. If you want info on the photography websites/newsletters I'm subscribed to, just let me know. And be patient, it will come. I couldn't take sunset pictures when we went to San Diego with my family a year and a half ago either. :)
